Established in 2000, International Access (or IA) is a major telecommunication operator in Singapore known for its wholesale offerings and retail businesses, including its signature Access card which, to date, has successfully captured niche Indian markets.

IA’s recent merger with Phoenix Comms remains a classic example of effective business synergy: IA transferred its retail efforts to Phoenix Comms while the latter tapped IA to oversee its overall connection requirements. As a result, IA is now in the position to focus more on its wholesale voice & data services, overseas support and IP telephony offerings.

At present, IA still continues to spread its wholesale sales efforts to second and third-tier carriers from dozens of countries all over the world. As proof of their commitment, the company has invested in over $1.5M worth of equipment in order to effectively build a better, more comprehensive global network that can offer the three most vital criteria required for any major wholesale supplier: affordable rates, excellent call quality and voluminous capacity.

In April 2009, IA became a fully owned subsidy of Phoenix Communications Pte Ltd and is expected to further raise the bar in wholesale data connectivity.
